Wednesday night, the Du Bois Chamber of Congress sponsored a meet the candidates for Congress at the Clarion Inn. The fifth district is a large rural area that has it’s own unique challenges. It really gave people a chance to hear and see the reactions of the candidates to unexpected questions posed to them and see who was spinning from the gate.  I was able to eliminate candidates and I have three to choose from for the primary.

Each candidate had a two minute introduction and then were each asked questions which they had ninety to respond to, and then a series of yes or no questions. Grass roots politics are great, and it is good to be able to meet and talk with the candidates personally afterward.  John Peterson also attended the forum, which was well attended by both parties.
